the wwf was always the better company. the wcw might have been just as good but no where near entertaining as the wwf.AnswerThe WCW product from 1997 to 1999 was the best ever! WCW had the best wrestlers. Remember the nWo, the wolfpack, the 4 horsemen, Goldberg's streak. I believe that no wrestling company ever did or ever will deliver a product as great as the WCW product from 1997 to 1999. A deal to sell to Fusient Media had fallen through, and AOL-Time Warner (the owners of WCW) had announced that WCW's flagship show, Nitro, was being cancelled.So WWE Owner Vince McMahon came in and paid practically peanuts for the company and all it's enteties. But instead of continuing the company as a stand-alone entity, Vince brought in most of the better talent he owned to WWE and basically killed the brand.

TNA is a financially secure company at the moment. At the time ECW and WCW could not afford to go head to head against the WWE, in terms of Television Deals. TNA has no reason to sell its company to the WWE.
