What does communication reliance mean?

Communication reliance means that as a result of the fast and continuous technological advancements, we (the people) have come to rely on computers, cellular phones, and other devices as a means of communication. Instead of face to face communication, hand written reports, letters, graphs, and other documents as in the past, today we rely on technology to communicate quickly with others. New technological advancements has allowed us to be able to not only communicate with people near us, but also as far away as a different country that may be across the world. Communication is the key to understanding one another, which is why without it, we would not be able to learn or develop, we would be useless beings.
