skiies and boots.. i would suggest renting these if you are a beginner cause the sport isn't 4 everybody and this equipment is expensive. Also you need warm clothing. A ski helment is reccomended. they keep your head warm and protect you no matter what leval of skiing you are at. And don't worry u will not be the odd ball. Smart skiiers wera helments. And last but no least, ski poles help wih balance and you will appreciate them if the hills have flat spots.
