Usually people use the term "idiot savant" or "autistic savant" ... and sometimes even just "savant." There are some people who are very socially limited, or limited with language or other things... but who can count every jellybean in a large jar, spilled in a split second all over the floor. Or do incredibly complex math problems in their heads. ... Things that I couldn't dream of doing. There are also people called "genius savants" who can do the same things, without the limitation of not being able to get along in society.

As with all mental illnesses, the symptoms of bipolar mania can vary from person to person. Some common symptoms of mania include high energy, sleeplessness, and euphoria.
Liver problems
There is no indication that high intelligence potential is connected in any way with mental illness. We do tend to notice deviations from the so-called norm more when they involve prominent people.
