A Hockey stick
A hockey stick is what the players hold on to in order to move the puck. A puck is the black disk that the players use the stick to hit. The purpose of the game is to get the puck into the opponent's net more times than they score on your net.
The game is called hockEy not hocky, and "they", i am guessing hockey players, use a stick and a puck.
You use it to shoot in opponent's goal. Hockey players use the stick to control the puck. It's basically like all sports - the ball, puck are supposed to score points.
When they shoot the puck they use math to see if it will go in the goal

There is a lot of math that goes into hockey such as using measurements to build the rink. You can also use math to calculate the speed of the hockey puck when hit.
, To answer your question, a Hockey "Offside" is when the player crosses the offensive blue line before the puck. There is a move called "Dragging the line" that NHL players, or in general any hockey player (Like myself) use. What they do is keep a skate ON the blue line when the puck is crossing the line and you are ahead of the play and/or puck.
