Start with the lack of freon.
Torque converter lock-up solenoid is bad. Common problem with 1988 Beretta.

If i were you i would start with the catyletic converter ,it'll start cold,start for a minute then stall, start back up but wont drive ,idle, but not drive ,check it out.

A bad EGR valve should not cause the engine to not start. There is most likely another problem that is causing the engine to not start.

Trouble code P0335 means: CKP Sensor Circuit Malfunction Replace the sensor and it should start up
