British East Africa
Kenya was initially known as the East Africa Protectorate by the British. In 1920, the area became known as the Kenya colony. The Republic of Kenya became independent in 1963.
In 1886 the UK gained control of East Africa. But, the British were pooling their resources for South Africa. So, in 1888, they allowed a corporation (Imperial British East Africa Company) to take control of East Africa. By 1894, though, the company was failing, so the British Government took control. In 1895 East Africa became a Protectorate of the United Kingdom. In 1920, British East Africa was split into the Uganda Protectorate and the Kenya Colony. Kenya remained a colony until 1963, when they gained their independence.

i think that Kenya was supporting worl war on. on the other side like world war two. they where taken by British soo that seem like they weren't in the war but were used in the war.AnswerThe country of Kenya did not exist prior to 1962, so it did not participate in either World War. However, the land that is now Kenya was part of German East Africa and British East Africa during WW1, and an extensive campaign between British regular forces and a German guerrilla force was fought there the entire period.During WW2, the entire land was now part of British East Africa, and was used as a base for attacks against Italian forces in Somaliland and Ethiopia.

They are not chosen over British players as such. Clubs choose the best players they can get. Where they come from is not important, their ability is. If a club wants to build a very strong team but only chooses players from one place, then they won't have a great team. Most soccer players are not British, so naturally a lot of non-British players get chosen. If a British player is the best a club can get for the position they are looking to fill, then the British player will of course get chosen, but not because he is British. It would be based purely on his ability.
