Ulster has 9 counties. Only 6 of them are part of what is called Northern Ireland. In fact, the most northerly point of all of Ireland is in Ulster, but in one of the 3 counties that is not in Northern Ireland.
The counties called Fermanagh, Antrim, Tyrone, Down, Armagh and Derry make up Northern Ireland. When Northern Ireland was created by a treaty between Britain and Ireland, those 6 counties were made part of Northern Ireland. The remaining 26 counties of Ireland, are part of what is now commonly called the Republic of Ireland. The province of Ulster consists of all of Northern Ireland's counties, plus Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal. Donegal actually contains the most northern point on the whole island of Ireland. If you look at the map below, you will see all of Ireland's counties, with the 6 of Northern Ireland enclosed by a line, and you will also see how Donegal contains the most northern point.

There are 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland and 6 in Northern Ireland. There are 32 counties in the island altogether.
Under the treaty that created Northern Ireland, 6 of Ulster's 9 counties formed it. Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal had a larger Catholic population, and so they stayed as part of the rest of Ireland. They are part of Ulster, but not part of Northern Ireland. Ulster is sometimes incorrectly used to reference Northern Ireland, but only 6 of its 9 counties are part of it.
No. Only Northern Ireland is. The rest of Ireland, known as the Republic of Ireland, is not.
Kilkenny are the only county that do not currently participate in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. This is despite the fact that there are 9 other counties who have had less success than them in the senior championship.
The provinces of Connacht, Leinster and Munster are all completely in the Republic of Ireland. Six of the nine counties of the province of Ulster are in Northern Ireland, with the other three counties being in the Republic of Ireland. So there is no province that is not in some way part of the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is occasionally mistakenly referred to as Ulster, but it makes up only six of Ulster's nine counties, so it is wrong to say that Ulster is not in the Republic of Ireland, as only part of it isn't.
County Londonderry was discovered in 1613 and is located in Northern Ireland. It is called County derry for short. There are only six counties of Northern Ireland.
Ireland is an island so it has no bordering countries. On the island of Ireland you have the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which have a border.Well no countries border it directly as Ireland is surrounded by water, but the 3 nearest countries are Britain, France and Spanish. Of course if you're talking about the republic of Ireland then the country that borders it would be Northern Ireland
The Irish Republic is divided into 26 counties: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow. There are also 6 counties in Northern Ireland which are Fermanagh, Antrim, Tyrone, Down, Armagh and Derry.
