Car washes work well. Pick a high traffic intersection. Selling candy is a lesser choice, due to the cost of product and low margin of money received for the effort. It also has higher logistics of taking orders and delivery. Consider an auction of students / slaves. They agree to work, such as mowing the lawn or cleaning, for an afternoon. Bidders pay for their day, and all money goes to the school.
