True and original Martial Arts are not 'played.' They were not designed as a game, it was the serious business of killing people. Many are now sports, where winning in a competition under a set of rules is considered a martial art. The rules are desinged to protect the fighters from serious injury or even death, never a consideration in the ancient styles.
