Sports that were competed at the first Winter Olympics (1924) that are still being competed today (2010) are bobsleigh, figure skating, Ice Hockey, ski jumping, speed skating, nordic combined, and cross country skiing.

Curling was also competed at the 1924 Winter Olympics but did not return until the 1998 Winter Olympics.
