The rules of high jump i think you have to jump over the bar safely without dropping the bar. if you didnt jump over in you gat two more chances to jump over. To tiffani gellert from divitaYes, but if a world record is set, what governing body makes it official, and what are the rules for the measurement. I took a photograph of Vladimir Yashchenko settting the world record in Richmond, Va, July 3, 1977. He was 18 years old. It was at a Jr olympic track meet between the USA and USSR. He cleared the bar at 7'73/4". I believe it is the only photograph taken. It was late in the afternoon, and hardly amyone was there, including the local newspaper photographers.
1. Cannot take off two feet. 2. Cannot knock off the bar (Obvious) 3. If doing a run through, cannot place any body part over the "invisible barrier" of the bar and mat 4. Athletes may choose the height they wish to come in at 5. For every height you have 3 attempts 6. The winner is the last man standing, or competitor with least amount of attempts. 7. If an athlete (high school) has other events they have 15 minutes to do them, then return to jump
Cristiano Ronaldo jumps 3 foot 9 which is the highest jump a footballer can jump since 1986.
Technically, under NFHS rules hurdling another player is illegal, though the foul is rarely called. Having said that... um, no, there are no rules that specifically dictate "how high a running back can jump." Presumably the limitations presented by gravity are sufficient.
