That's a tricky question to answer as that varies depending on which country you are talking about. I skydive in the UK and over here there is a pretty even split between Freeflyers (falling in a head up or head down position) and Formation Skydiving (falling on your belly).

You will find that formation skydiving jumpers are much more interested in competing than freeflyers.
