The Jacksonville Jaguars were considered a team destined to relocate because the area ostensibly didn't have the strong enough fan base to anchor the franchise there. In reality, though, the Jaguars fanbase is stronger in Jacksonville than a team fanbase is in LA. Los Angeles is a notoriously weak sports demographic, having had the Rams from 1946 until 1995 and the Raiders 1982 until 1995; area support for the town's two Baseball teams is mediocre and support for its NHL team (the Kings) is mediocre. Only the NBA Lakers garner strong Los Angeles fan support.
Though the idea of a team in LA remains popular within NFL management circles, realistically it remains an illusory dream.
The New Orleans Saints is an NFL team in Louisiana.
