Here's a list of members of the Baseball Hall of Fame who never played in the minor leagues? Excluding the black players who never made it to the major leagues, and players such as Ernie Banks, who made it to the majors directly from the Negro leagues, there are 14 such players. In the group of eight pitchers that skipped the minors are: Sandy Koufax, Bob Feller, Catfish Hunter, Walter Johnson, Ted Lyons, Chief Bender, Eppa Rixey and Eddie Plank. The other Hall of Famers without minor league records are Frankie Frisch, second baseman; George Sisler, first baseman, and Mel Ott, Dave Winfield, Al Kaline, right fielders, and Robin Yount of the Milwaukee Brewers.

What does it mean when a MLB player is out of options?

That means that a player, who is on a team's 40 man roster, may not be moved to the minors without first clearing waivers. MLB teams are limited on how many times they may move a player on their 40 man roster to the minors. Each time a team does this and the player spends at least 20 consecutive days in the minors, the team uses one of the player's 'options'. Only one option may be used per season so a team may move a player from the minors to the majors and back many times during a season with only one option being used. A team has three options with a player. Once those three options have been used, the player is 'out of options' and must be placed on waivers and pass through without being claimed by another team to be moved to the minors.

Can minors get married in mississippi without parental concent?

No.

What does Minor league 'A' stands for?

Currently, MLB rates its minor leagues as Rookie, A, AA, and AAA. Rookie leagues are for those players that are very young, usually just out of high school, and are the player's first professional experience. A leagues are one step above rookie leagues, AA one step above A, and AAA leagues the highest in the minors for the most experienced and/or talented. An 'A' minor league would be composed of teams with younger players and prospects.
