Then, only 4 days later, punter Brett Upson of Vanderbilt was named MVP of the Music City Bowl played in Nashville, Tennessee on December 31, 2008 for his role in Vanderbilt's 16-14 win over Boston College. It was the first bowl victory for Vanderbilt in 53 years.
