Hall of famer Grover Cleveland Alexander, a pitcher, played Major League baseball from 1911 - 1930

Since the Major Leagues did not have any Black players in the 1900s, coaches did not have any Black players to react toward.
As of my last update, the pitcher with the worst career record in Major League Baseball history is Jack Nabors, who played in the early 1900s. He finished his career with a record of 0 wins and 9 losses over 15 games, making him winless despite his numerous appearances. His lack of victories stands out in the annals of baseball history.

1900s
Yes there were those that hunted for food in the 1900s.
The most recent players that I know of are Jim Abbott, a lefthanded pitcher with the Angels and Yankeeswho was born without a right hand, and Curtis Pride, a utility player for several teams who is deaf. A couple of old timers that I know of are Luther Taylor, a pitcher for the New York Giants in the early 1900s and William Hoy, an outfielder for several teams in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Both Hoy and Taylor were deaf.
