Last time there was a rematch for Lord Stanley was back in the early 1980's. It saw in 1982-83 the New York Islanders beat out the Edmonton Oilers to win the cup. Then the following season 1983-84 the Oilers got their revenge on the defending champs by beating them in the Stanley cup finals.
