there are many types of Martial Arts such as: tae kwon do, judo, ju juitsu, kung fu, muay thai, karate, kempo, akido, hapkido, ninjitsu, jeet kun do etc. there are many more, but all are effective in hand to hand combat and none are better than the other its just depends on how more experience you have in that martial arts.
