I'm assuming you're talking about switching to decompression gasses while using helium mixes. There are two techniques that can be used. The first is making "deep stops" and not rushing through them. Many will make deep stops but ascend too quickly through them. Staying under pressure is critical when making a switch to a deco gas. The second technique is to keep helium in you mix and not get off the helium too aggressively. While you can do both techniques, not rushing through your stops is the most important one in my opinion.
