It is commonly believed to be the Thoroughbred (1963) horse (probably a gelding) named Fort D'Or, which was 18.2 hands tall at the withers (top of shoulder at the base of the neck). A hand measures 4 inches. Fort D'Or was chestnut in colour and was owned after retiring from racing by Mr William Tellwright of Betton Hall in Shropshire England. He was used as a hunter with the North Staffordshire Hunt. His stable name was "Tiny" !! I know this because my sister worked for Mr Tellwright and I used to ride Tiny!
