According to the Law 2 of the Laws of the Game governed by FIFA the ball must have the following qualities. It must be:

• spherical
• made of leather or other suitable material
• of a circumference of not more than 28 in (70 cm) and not less than 27 in (68 cm)
• not more than 16 oz (450 g) and not less than 14 oz (410 g) in weight
• of a pressure equal to 8.5 - 15.6 lb/in2 (600 - 1,100 g/cm2)

The average weight of a soccer ball is between 420 and 450 grams. In pro soccer a ball cannot weigh less than 400 grams.

The ball weighs about 5 pounds. I don't know the circumference or the diameter, but I have one and it is way better than the other size balls.
