First I am not really sure of what you want. Therefore I'll will try and fill in the blanks. The S & W model 28 was a plain Jane version of the Smith model 27. When in production, it was produced in 4", 6" and 83/8". The caliber was .357 magnum and the gun called the Highway Patrolman. Smith's 44 caliber is now a model 24, produced in 3" and 6 1/2". Originally, it was produced in 4, 6, 8" barrel lengths.
