No, because if they can't maintain good grades then they can't manage school and a sport! If the grade raises then maybe because it depends if they are able to maintain a C average and juggle the responsibility of doing a sport and homework!

∙ 10y agoBecause sports is fun and can help you work as a team. I think if students with failing grades didn't participate in sports there life would be only be work and nothing physical. Sports can also keep them fit because if they start feeling unfit it could have an even bigger effect on their grades. I think to help them is to just be supportive and not put loads of pressure on them.

Most colleges and high schools have standards for students. In order to play on the school team, you must get a set grade or higher. This set grade is usually a "C" or "B" average.
Younger Children (Elementary, Middle School)
Younger children in elementary school and middle school usually do not have school teams, so the teams they play out of school are determined by the parents. If the parent thinks the child is failing or not doing well in school because of the sport, they can choose to withdraw the child out of the sport until further notice.

In the principle's mind: Student is Tabula Rasa. Teacher is there to fill the empty space. Time goes by. Exams arrive. Student does badly. Teacher has failed to teach. Normally this isn't a problem on its own as some students are just too dense/disinterested to be taught, but if multiple students are all doing badly, it's often (not always) a sign that the teacher cannot interest them enough in the subject for them to learn. Especially in a private school, it's easier to kick out and replace one "failing" teacher than it is to kick out and replace multiple paying students(/customers.)
