A one-hand save made low to the ground in volleyball is called a dig.
Volleyball got that name because the term volley is the action of hitting or moving the ball over the net without letting it touch the ground it is the same way in tennis if you smack the ball back over without it touching the ground it is a volley so since in volleyball it is illegal for the ball to touch to ground it is a game of multiple volleys called VOLLEYBALL!
I guess it is called dead ball when the ball touches the ground.
it doesn't. you can't let it touch the ground
The volleyball will NOT hit the ground with greater anything. Assuming that the soccer ball is the same spherical diameter and greater mass than the volleyball it will hit the ground with greater velocity and greater impact.
Spanish volleyball is more hardcore, American volleyball is more organized. Both are very competitive. American volleyball is taught based on techniques while Spanish volleyball is more about leaving your heart on the court. Spanish also exercise more than Americans. I've played for both, Spanish and Americans and i loved American volleyball, definitely.Volley means to keep something off the ground. In volleyball the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. When the ball touches the ground.
8 feet from the ground
There are usually 2 referees in a volleyball game. One is on the stand and one is on the floor.
