The mode your referring to sounds a lot like "NPPL mode". This when you fire semi auto for 3 shots and it then turns into full auto. Sadly the E-grip does not have this mode, though you can put it into full auto mode.
Roughly 600
depends on the marker but if it is an etry level marker (tippmann 98 or clone, spyder or other stacked tube blowback) i would expect somewhere in the range of 1500 shots

Yes, if the shots are directly related to the procedure they are licensed to perform .
The first unit is the main filming crew, which works with the lead actors and is directly controlled by the director. The second unit is typically smaller and films shots which do not involve the lead actors, such as establishing shots, stunt double shots, etc. Basically, all the little shots which don't require the direct involvement of the director. The second unit will have its own director, who reports to the movie's director.

It all depends on the tank you have. Tippman guns are very durable and known for their longevity. It can go on forever in theory with proper maintenance. With one 20 oz CO2 tank at 300fps a Tippmann 98 will fire about 1000 paintballs.
