The Peoria Chiefs were the Cubs' Single-A affiliate from 1985-1995. They became the Cardinals' affiliate from 1996-2004, and have been back with the Cubs since 2005.

Football teams do not have farm teams. Minor League or farm teams are associated with Major League Baseball.
NFL Football teams don't have farm teams.
In 1958, it was the Des Moines Bruins of the Western League. The Bruins were a Class A farm team for the Cubs from 1947-1958. In 1959 and 1960, the Lancaster Red Roses of the Eastern League were the Class A farm team for the Cubs. Those were the only two years they were associated with the Cubs.
