The most active sport worldwide, by far is Soccer (football, futbol). Played by just about every country in the world. More popular in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa. Asia isn't into soccer as much as a whole but it is still popular. Many Hmong people play soccer. Not sure about Australia.
Of course you can't exclude people from a sport!
It depends on where the player is injured and what sport they are playing. For example, if the sport was basketball and you had a cut on your shin, you would still be able to play. If you broke your arm, then the coach would let the player sit out to receive medical treatment.
