There are many figure skating pro tours, but by far the most popular in North America as of 2014 is Stars on Ice. It was developed in 1986 as a showcase for Scott Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist. SOI, as it is known, features a roster of top talent every year, lengthy schedules and different casts which perform on tours in North America and Japan.
