I guess they are more heavier than softball bats
The difference is a baseball bat has a bigger barrel and its weight is different. The softball bat has a smaller barrel and can be lighter than a baseball bat with the same length. Baseball bats are also usually wooden while softball uses aluminum.

Easton and Louisville Slugger make several different model bats in several categories, like aluminum baseball and softball bats, composite, hybrid and wood baseball and softball bats. One thing used to certain - Easton spent more on research and development than Louisville Slugger. That may or may not still be the case since Jim Easton is no longer with the company.
-9 means the difference between the weight and the length of the bat (the length of the bat minus the weight of the bat). Most bats on average are -10
A baseball bat is made of harder wood than softball bats which are also made of wood but is softer. The reason is because baseballs are harder than softballs so they need strong wood.
