I've ridden it before and my personal opinion is not to get an original board. They're bad quality (not very durable) and the trucks are very tricky to use. I was riding it 30k's down a hill near me and as soon as I turned because the trucks are so err turny, it chucked me off of the board.

There are many good long boards, but it is all personal preference so there really is no, "best longboard." The best board for carving would be a Loaded Dervish or Loaded Tan Tien or some original board probably and apex 37. For downhill, its Evo or a Rayne board. Don't buy a Drifter!
What are the pros and cons of the Apex 34 and Apex 37 skateboards?
The apex 37 almost no problems at all but I thought it rode too high but no big deal. The apex 34 I think is just a bit too small for hills. The apex 34 is good for tricks but the apex 37 can crush hills and do tricks like non other. My choice would be the apex 37!
