yes
As of March 14th, 2011 this bat is now approved for use in Little League. http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/approvedcompbatssmall.htm
yes as long as on the bat some where it says that this bat is approved for play in Little League
Yes. As of now, the only "illegal" little league bats are the combat b1 and b2 due to their all composite structure.
The most common baseball protective gear used in little league games are batting helmets. Less common are chest protectors and masks for the catchers as that is only one position.
No, but if your in the little league you shouldn't wear a Major Leage sized catchers mit. It could be as large or small as you want, but make sure that the manager or coach accepts it, and most importantly make sure that it fits you.
The only position that a distracting item can be removed by the umpire, is the pitcher. You could have a lime green glove as a catcher!!!
The barrel of the bat may be no bigger than 2 1/4 diameter usually. It most likely will say "Little league approved" on the barrel
Little League Rule 1.12 - A catcher must wear a catcher's mitt(not a first basemans mitt or a fielders glove) any shape, size or weight consistent with protecting the hand.
At the moment (1/11/11), Little League Baseball has disallowed the use of composite bats in Little League Baseball. The Combat B1, B2 and B3 are all composite bats which, if the current rule stands, will not be allowed for Little League play. There are rumors that Little League Baseball is considering an exception but as of now the list of officially recognized bats is on this link: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/approvedcompbats.htm
No you are not. The bats used must be Little League approved. Most leagues will provide bats if you do not want to spend the money to pay for one for your child yet.
