Of course not, silly! If you want, it, go for it! Dream big, work hard.
no. you are never too old i know some kids on collegiate teams (18-22) who only have been skating 3 years. (since they were 15 or older)
dance, definatly. figure skating is much too hard. im in Pre-juv, that means i have already passed 2 rounds of a series of level. it has taken me 3 1/2 years to get here. that's still not as far as my friends! its too hard. dance, has more flexibility. figure skating soon becomes your life. Dance is also more stable. figure skating i can assure you, about twice a month you will cry. from stress, the hard work, school. and 14 years old?! does she even no how to get on the skates? i think dance. but that's my opinion. i love figure skating so much. i am addicted. this is all coming from a 12 year old.
Eleven is definitely not too old to start figure skating. There are several elite competitive figure skaters that have started at age 9-12 years old. Johnny Weir began figure skating at age 12. He is 3 time US national champion, 2001 World Junior Champion, 2008 World bronze medallist, and placed fifth at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. read more at http:/www.gofigureskating.com/intro/startfigureskating.html
I hope this information is helpful in some way. Source(s): Myself and Wikepedia. P.S. I am a Figure Skater too!!!!!!!! :)
no
yes it's too much weight. sixteen year old should be approx 55-60 kg.
you have too be 16 years of age and older
Yes
If you don't like the competitive side of figure skating than do it recreationally. Then you wouldn't have to compete or if you decide you want to compete you still can. This is a great solution if you just want to learn jumps and spins but not compete.
No the age is too far apart and why would a sixteen year old be messin with a twelve year old.Be careful
I don't know what you mean but I figure skate and 'figure 8s' don't exist. Some feild moves are 8 shaped but nobody just skates in the shape of an 8 otherwise. that would be way too easy.
Well being a figure skater myself it is a good exersizing sport... Its fun and you can lose weight too.... But in time you do gain more muscles especially in the legs!
