Other types of dystonias include Merge's syndrome (spasms of the jaw muscles when opening and closing of the mouth).
it can be from scoliosis but it can be from other things also.
As Rugby is a high impact sport playing with ANY skeletal issue is inadvisable. Its more so where the back is effected. There are sports that this type of issue will not effect the performance of the person - I suggest seeking expert advice
Mine are also uneven. I was told that it was because of scoliosis. Maybe your muscles developed more on one side than the other because of an uneven posture. These are two possible reasons why they are uneven.
There are many causes for scoliosis which are congenital genetic neuromuscular Other causes for scoliosis include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy and tumors
Tetanus, a nervous system infection, can cause muscles spasms. A common name for tetanus is lockjaw, becausethe jaw is often the first muscle group to cramp or spasm. Spasm can happen throughout the body and may cause muscle tears. If the spasm occur in the muscles around the lungs it can result in breathing problems. Beyond muscles spasms, other symptoms of tetanus include fever, excessive sweating, irritability, and drooling.
Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant used to treat muscle spasms and pain caused by strains, sprains, or other muscle injuries. It works by helping to relax the muscles.
Scoliosis is a side-to-side curvature of the spine. Congenital scoliosis is due to congenital abnormal formation of the bones of the spine, and is often associated with other organ defects.
Tetanus primarily affects skeletal muscles, leading to sustained contractions and spasms, particularly in the jaw (trismus or lockjaw) and neck. It can also impact other muscle groups, including those in the abdomen and back, causing rigidity and painful spasms. In severe cases, respiratory muscles may be affected, which can lead to respiratory failure. The toxin produced by the tetanus bacteria disrupts normal muscle function by interfering with neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular junction.
I have scoliosis and no one in my family has had it. So you can get scoliosis even if its not in your family history. There are 3 types of scoliosis, I suggest looking them up, I unfortunatly have the type that no one knows what's causing it. But the 2 other types are well know and if you have it they can probably do more for you than mine.
What could be causing neck pain on left side could be generally one of a couple things. One would be muscle spasms and the other could be nerve pain from tight muscles or a pinched nerve.
Yes, dehydration can definitely cause muscle spasms. If you are taking a high dose diuretic (fluid pill) that can also cause it, due to the depletion of potassium in your body. If so, eating a banana or drinking orange juice, or consuming other foods high in potassium will replace the potassium, and will help eliminate the muscle spasms. If you continue to have the muscle spasms, you need to have your doctor examine you to determine the cause of them.
