Is one brand of skateboards better than another brand?
In short, No. In the top tier of skateboards they are almost identical. Spitfire, Real, Antihero, Krooked are all made by the same people, so the wood is exactly the same. Get a real board from a real skate shop (not a generic sports store in the mall, or god forbid Walmart) and you will do fine. The major difference between skateboard brands is the graphics on the deck. That's it.

Well, really it doesn't affect anything. I'm pretty sure they all pay the same. So its all about which pros you like to be on the team with, and how their gear and apparel LOOKS. If you like Chris Cole and zero decks, go for Zero. Zero is a great brand, and that's who I chose to be sponsored by.

Of course it is opinion but a majority of people say Skate 1 is better. On Skate 1 you can get more board sponsors and the physics of skating are more realistic on Skate 1. However Skate 1 slightly lacks the quality of the graphics that Skate 2 has in store. Skate 1 is cheaper than Skate 2 as it was an earlier release. Skate 1 I would say is the better game but that is a matter of opinion.

The independent variable is the thing that changes with in the experiment to make it an experiment. For example, say I was doing an experiment on something such as "Which sponge brand can absorb the most water?" The independent variable would be the different sponge brands because it would be the thing that changes with in the experiment. Otherwise, if you didn't make an independent variable (the different sponge brands in this case) it wouldn't be an experiment because a sponge of the same brand should hold about the same amount of water as the others.
