Fairbanks is much colder than Anchorage
Is it really? I do'nt think so. But if it is, it must be because it's more to the north. Bergen and Oslo has about the same temperature, but I think Oslo is colder..
The distance between Anchorage and Beijing is 3979 miles.
Anchorage is a city in Alaska. Anchorage is further from the pole than the other towns further north. It is also closer to the equator. The closer to the equator, the warmer the area is. Anchorage and New York have a pretty good distance between them latitude-wise, but longitude-wise they're not too far apart.http://medusa.jrc.it/medisys/maps/US_small.gif
If you fly from Anchorage, Alaska to Beijing, China, it is less than one third as far than if you were to fly from New York City to Lhasa, Tibet, China. It is important to specify the cities of origin and destination in order to derive a precise answer.
