The Newspaper clipping could have some value to someone but not much. The more complete the publication the more value it will bring. If the clipping has the name of the newspaper on it, more value. If it is a full page even more, and the complete newspaper the highest value.

The problem with old newspapers is that the paper used is very low quality. They are very sensitive to the acid in the air causing foxing (browning) and the paper becomes brittle, and will flake away in time. This is why collectors, unless it is a very historic issue will not pay big money for them. For more info on vintage publications I will leave a link below.

It could have some value to collectors, especially if it is in good condition and features a notable event or image of Babe Ruth. The value would depend on factors such as demand, rarity, and overall condition of the newspaper article. You may want to consult with a Sports Memorabilia expert or dealer for a more accurate assessment of its worth.

A full pictured newspaper article of Babe Ruth, and the New York Yankees (or other players) could be worth between $5.-$10. in general. The price will vary based on the age and historic significance of the article. The size of the article will effect the value, and would be worth more on the complete page or as a cover story. The more complete the newspaper the more valuable. The fragile nature of the paper used with newspapers will keep collectors from spending big money on any article.

Browning, rips, and creases will lower the price significantly. I have a Framed 1927 World Series Newspaper headline. Every time I handle the paper (to frame it) I would lose little flakes of paper off the edges. If the "picture" was part of a premium insert photo it will have a higher value.

1952 Newspaper Featuring Babe RuthMore inoramtion would be needed to give a value. In general a 1952 Babe Ruth newspaper article could be worth anout $10.- $20. A full paper would be of the highest value, the cover would be next, and an article would be the lowest. The more complete the newspaper the more valuable. Babe Ruth passed away in 1948 and a newspaper from his playing days would have a higher value.

The historic significance of the Newspaper article and the condition of the paper is important. Because of the low quality paper used newspapers do not sell at high price. Browning, rips, and creases will lower the price significantly. I have a Framed 1927 World Series front page Newspaper headline. Every time I handle the paper (to frame it) I would lose little flakes of paper off the edges.
