yes for men but it changes with men and women
the number of sets in a tennis game varies. you can customize it to your liking. pro matches are usually 3 out of 5 sets, or 2 out of 3 sets. each set has 6 or 8 games. pros use 6 games, but once again, its your choice for fun play.
the two guys r playing match not together.
Profession men's doubles tennis tournaments usually play best 2 out of 3 sets. However, the four grand slam tournaments still play best 3 out of 5 sets.
henin won easily in 3 sets and went on to win the french open against ivanovixh
Men play a maximum of 5 sets and Women play a maximum of 3 sets. Obviously in mens they play 3 sets only if one player wins all of the first 3 sets as the opponent can't come back with 2 sets left. Women play 2 at minimum for the same reason.
Women play the first to win 2 out of a total of 3 sets. Men usually play the first to reach 3 out of a total of 5 sets; but in many tournaments now, they simply play as the women - the first to reach 2 sets out of 3.
Yes ... you could win the match without playing any ball but your own serves ... provided, you won your service games and your opponent double-faulted his way at least four times in twoseparate games during the match - at least once in each of the 2 sets (assuming the match was a best of 3 sets match)
Tennis matches have varying amounts of time. Most professional tennis matches that are played at 2 out of 3 sets last about an hour and a half (plus or minus a half hour depending on the skill levels of both players).
For womens it can last up to 3 hours (playing 3 sets) - however the average is about 2 - and for mens it can go up to 5 hours (playing 5 sets) but the average is about 3 and 1/2 Hope this is what you were looking for!

This depends on a lot of things. One set requires a minimum of 24 points to be won by one player. Some mathes are one set, some are best of 3 sets, some are best of 5 sets, some are best of 3 sets with the 3rd set being a match tie-break (first to 10 points but must win by 2 points. Eg. 10-8 or 13-11 or 24-22 etc.). Most tennis matches are best of 3 sets. This means that the first player to get 2 sets wins the match. The player will need a minimum of 48 points. I hope this answered your question. But there are too many things to depend on to win a match. One match can take over 1,000 points (even though it is very, very, very unlikely).
There are usually 6 line judges and 1 chair umpire.
