I owned one (2003) that I originally bought used for my youngest son 2 Christmas' ago (2006). He unfortunately never rode it but it could carry me around (6 foot tall, 165lbs) absolutely no problem at all and at around 30mph. They have a throttle adjustment that can retard how much you can twist it for allowing youngsters just learning to ride to keep a slow and steady pace. They also have after market training wheels you can purchase for around $100. I never ever had any problem with it whatsoever other than leaving gas in it over the winter and having to clean out the gunk the following spring. I could literally start it with my hand on the first try every single time. As with most motorcycles/scooters/atv's, etc if you maintain them up to manufacturers specs you'll get endless enjoyment out of it.
