Lionel Messi is clearly the better because he is the fife player of the year and over the last 3 seasons he has consistent outshone the fantastic Ronaldo over whole seasons and in the head to head March's including the 2-0 CL victory v Man UT where Ronaldo faded out of the game after the first 15 minus and more recently during the 5-0 demolition of Real where Messi was sensational. Ronaldo is an explosive match winner but he cannot control a game like Messi and int able to adapt his game to suit the team. Ronaldo is an exceptional player and in most other generations would probably be the best player around but right now we are lucky enough to witness a true footballing sensation in Lionel Messi...He could go on to be remembered as the best player of all time.. The only thing quicker than Leos feet with the ball on a football pitch is his brain. Normal humans cannot compete..... Luckily he is with a team that compliment his game and enhance it. Great for football fans....... Ronaldo is great but Messi is the greatest
