3 sets in a volley ball game but you need 25 points to win a set
The aim of the game is to hit the volleyball over the net into the opponents half of the court with such force that they cannot prevent it from hitting the ground. The maximum number of touches per play is three. You will also have to prevent the ball from grounding in your half of the court. However, if the ball lands outside the court, the team that originally hit it will give a point to the opposition. Most volleyball matches go up to 25 points, best of three. Hope this helped! :)
In current rules and regulations Yes! If the ball is served and hits the net and rolls over to the receiving side then point is given to the serving team unless returend back with in the three hit limit. If it does not make it over the net and remains on the serving side then the point is given to the "receiving side"[ (ralley score) this is when points are given when either side gets a side out. refer to www.usvolleyball.org/pages/8337 for current rules]
