Hello. A force out can be used when the runner is 'forced' to move to the next base. For example, when there's a baserunner at first and the batter hits the ball, there are force outs at both first (where the batter must go) and second (since the batter is coming to first, it forces the baserunner to second). However, if the ball is caught, the baserunner may stay at first since the batter is out. If the baserunner is not 'forced' to move to the next base, a force out cannot be used. For example, when there's a baserunner at second, first is empty and the batter hits the ball, there is only a force out at first. Since the baserunner on second does not have to yield her base to a runner directly behind her, she must be tagged to make the out if she tries to take third. Even in a situation where a force out will work, a tag is also an out. So IMO if the runner is off base and you can tag her, do it, then look to see if there are other outs that could be made.
i dont think you would ever use a black softball
what kind of bats do the usa softball team use
Because of the size of the field that baseball is played on, the use of a softball would be irrational.
Newton's second law states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass. In the case of a softball, applying a greater force to it will result in a greater acceleration, while a heavier softball will have a smaller acceleration for the same force applied.
In boys softball they use a bigger ball than the girls =)
If you are training, I recommend you use a soft softball, to reduce the injury a leather softball could cause before a match. Usually, the hard softballs are white, while the soft ones are brown. But in a match, you can use whatever you prefer.
Well I play softball and the name softball I say is to make the boys jelous because they have to use the really small balls and we have the larger ones but the hardness of them are the same but hte wieght is a different story.
NCAA and NPF use a 12" diameter softball however, there are many other different sizes.
I don't see how, or why you would want to. Most people use a softball.
This may vary in the league you play in, but almost all 8U leagues use an 11" softball.
12''
Yes you can.
