The Lakers and the Celtics, who have won 33 combined NBA titles, have played against each other in the NBA Finals 12 times.
Boston took the first eight meetings, winning in 1959, 1962, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969 and 1984. The Lakers rebounded with back-to-back wins in 1985 and 1987. But the Celtics renewed the rivalry in the 21st century with a championship in 2008. The Lakers rebounded in the 2010 Finals, outlasting the Celtics in seven games.
like 3 times a season
Go to a Lakers game. And buy me a ticket.
Obviously this cannot be answered 100% accurately, but teams that have strong all season so far are; Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Lakers, Denver Nuggets, not to mention a few dark horse teams further down each conference. On recent form, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cleveland and the LA Lakers in the Finals.. and if they meet there, it could go either way..
Olympics, World Championships, World Indoor Championships.
No they can set at any official meet
As of May 13th, 2010, there are only 4 teams left in the playoffs. The Orlando Magic will play the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals. The winners of each series will meet in the NBA finals to determine the champions.
4 times in the world championships 3 times in the olympics 3 times in the pan pacific games 11 times he has lost at an international or semi-international meet.
At some bar after himself and Matt won the Tag Team Championships, I don't remember when but it has more details in their book.
It's very unpredictable and hard to foresee who will meet in the NBA finals this year. With the remaining 4 teams who will battle for the conference finals, it's difficult to determine. All of them are strong, eager and hungry for the championship. But most likely, it would be good to revive the rivalry of the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. Well if they will both pass through the Orland Magic and the Phoenix Suns. Who knows, the ball is round.
