In the standard game, the dart board is hung so that the bullseye is 5 ft 8 in (1.73m) from the floor, eye-level for a six foot person. The oche the line behind which the throwing player must stand - is generally located 2.37m (7'9.25") from the face of the dartboard measured horizontally. This is the recognized world standard as set by the World Darts Federation and is played as such in most areas. Due to measurement error this may be incorrect in some places (such as measuring from the wall, rather than using a plumb line to measure from the board face).

Standard height from the floor to the bullseye on the dartboard is 5 feet 8 inches, while the oche (distance between the front of the board and the toeline) should measure 7 feet 9.25inches.

How far can the Nerf switch-shot shoot?

The Nerf Switch Shot averages around 25-35 feet per shot with Micro Darts, Whistler Darts, Sonic Micro Darts, Dart Tag Darts and Glow Darts, but very little with Streamline Darts.

Can you use velcro darts for N-strike Maverick?

Yes. Mavericks can fire (suction) Micro Darts, Whistler Darts, Dart Tag (velcro) darts, and the newest "Elite" darts. The only commonly-available darts that Mavericks are not compatible with are the "streamline" darts, the ones designed for the clip-fed, non-Elite N-Strike guns (they look like Elite darts, with tapered orange tips, but have orange rather than blue bodies). This is because the holes in streamline darts don't go as deep as with the other darts, and therefore can't be pushed into a Maverick's barrel as far as it needs to go.

As far as I can see, yes. The head is rubber, and the body is made of Nerf foam.

How do you throw accurate darts?

Do not lean so far forward that you are off balance. Stand with your whole arm between you and the board, with your elbow pointed at the floor or pointed at the molding between the floor and the wall. It might help to stand sideways at the oche in order to force your elbow down. Hold the dart in a way that feels natural, but make sure you have enough contact with the dart to give it direction. Aim, then throw the dart into the target with a steady fluid motion, and follow through with a slight flick of the wrist as you release. DO NOT MOVE YOUR BODY as you throw the dart.

How far should you stand from the golf ball?

Far away.

Are all Nerf darts the same size?

On the outside they're pretty much the same size; however, what you don't see is that the internal plastic stem on a Streamline (aka a Clip System dart) is longer than it is on an Elite (as well as Suction and Dart Tag darts). That means that the barrel post can't go as far into a Streamline dart's "hole" as it can on the other kinds of darts. In other words, even though they're the same size on the outside as Elite darts, the old Streamline darts will NOT work on most Elite guns (I believe they may work on Elites like the Hailfire, Stryfe and Stockade, which use flywheels to fire the darts, but will not work on the Retaliator, Rampage, Rough Cut, Strongarm, and other guns that rely on air plungers). Elite Darts, on the other hand, *will* work on guns designed for Streamline darts.
