42 between September 23 - September 28, 1969. The streak started in the 6th inning of the September 23 game against the St. Louis Cardinals. That game went 11 innings with the Mets winning 3-2. The Mets then shutout the Cardinals the next game 6-0 and shutout the Phillies in three straight games, 5-0, 1-0, and 2-0. The streak ended in the 1st inning of the game against the Cubs on Sept 28.
