I dont think theres such thing as light ball in fire red its probably in the newer games tho.
Its upper structure will probably get totally crushed, since it is made very light in order not to make the bus top-heavy. It will however probably NOT explode in a huge ball of fire which is only a Hollywood special effect. The gas tanks of cars and buses are specifically designed not to explode in case of an accident.
