Even if the power just blinks on and off, the console could reset, deleting hours of progress. However, most Xbox games have an AutoSave feature that you can turn on if you would like. This feature will save the game at certain points. It may save your progress every fifteen minutes or so. Turn on this feature. You may not be right where you left off, but you will not lose an entire afternoon of progress in the game.

Yes. It is possible, however I haven't seen one yet. I heard there is one in progress.
