Burned valve, Check the compression. Also check the timing sounds like it is firing to late..
get a rebuilt you will be better off
Either the carb needs rebuilt or your timing needs reset.
A rebuilt starter is around 150 dollars with out labor. Do a google search.
Have the timing checked , sounds like it might be off.
It could be that your carburetor needs to be rebuilt.
uneven or non true surface of 1 or all surfaces, wich can cause a bad seal. or a carburetor that you have had rebuilt by 2 separate people but still it is still not working properly ( like my self )
You take the old one out, then put the new/rebuilt/junkyard one in. Follow instructions carefully!
Odds are the needle and seat in the carb is faulty. Probably need to be rebuilt.
Those carburetors are controlled with about 5 electronic sensors. About the only thing adjustable on them is the idle set screw. You probably can still get a rebuild kit for them, and you will also need to get a repair manual, or go to the Library as you will find technical details needed when checking the condition of the sensors. If any of the sensors check out bad, you won't be able to replace them. You will be stuck with either getting another carburetor from the salvage yard, and rebuilding it, or you will have to get a rebuilt one for about $400.00.
Yes, carburetors can either be replaces with a new one, or rebuilt. However, in most cases, people will choose to replace the old damaged, or broken, carburetor with a new one. Rebuilding mechanical parts on an automobile is becoming an obsolete practice.
the carb needs to be rebuilt or cleaned. old gas clogged the jets
Freshly rebuilt with good carburetor at 5000 rpm, 200 horsepower maybe a little more
