He was honored in some places in the US,and was respected a lot more,but he still lived with the racial discrimination and hate from most people in the USA at the time with the same limited rights,untill another great Martin Luther King, Jr changed that in 1963.

Bottom Line is,When your treated better in Nazi Germany than you are in your Home Country America then there's a huge problem with that picture,and the problem was America,but it has managed to lower its ignorance level significantly over the past few decades.
