Evaporation When liquids change state to vapor they absorb heat, it's called "heat of vaporization". Put water on your arm then blow on it; it should feel colder when air is moving across the water. The evaporating water absorbs heat as it changes state, making the surface colder.
So... when you sweat, the surface of your skin gets colder and your body disspate heat by opening your circulation closer to the surface of the skin.
when you put ice on it... ;)

For what?It requires a heat gain for the water, but a heat loss for whatever the water is in contact with.
This dog loses heat because your mom said
When an object loses some of its heat, its temperature decreases (gets lower).
The body loses it's heat by secreting sweat out through the pores of the skin, as the air or wind passes over the sweat the sweat and the skin is cooled. Some of the heat is then lost through this process. The blood that then runs close to the skin also becomes cooled just like the blood in the ears of an elephant.
The body produces perspiration to cool itself.
Earth loses heat energy to outer space mainly by radiation.
When air loses its heat it actually becomes more dense and sinks which starts a convection current
basically it loses heat
Water gains and loses heat much more quickly than land.
Sweating is one
